Our Proven 1:1 Rehabilitation Process

At The Female Athlete, we’ve crafted a comprehensive and proven rehabilitation process that prioritizes your unique journey to women’s health. From the initial discovery call to witnessing gradual improvements in your symptoms, our systematic approach ensures personalized care and empowers you to reclaim your strength with confidence from the comfort of your home.

Begin your journey by scheduling a free call with Dr. Courtney. During this call, you’ll have the opportunity to discuss your concerns, ask questions, and share your unique situation. Dr. Courtney will listen attentively, providing insights into how our rehab coaching can benefit you. This call sets the foundation for a personalized approach tailored to your needs.

The next step involves a comprehensive hour long assessment. Through a combination of thorough examination and open communication, Dr. Courtney will assess your concerns, take you through a movement screen, identify any specific issues, educate you, and understand your goals. This assessment is crucial for crafting a targeted plan that addresses your individual needs and sets the stage for a successful rehabilitation journey.

Based on the information gathered during the hour long assessment, the Female Athlete team will create a customized plan of care specifically designed for YOU. This plan will outline a series of exercises, treatments, and strategies aimed at addressing your concerns. Emphasizing a holistic and personalized approach, the plan ensures that every aspect of your rehabilitation aligns with your unique requirements, fostering an environment for effective healing.

With tailored and one-on-one guidance, you’ll witness positive changes in your symptoms while also seeing changes in your strength, endurance, mobility and flexibility, and overall physical health. This phase is marked by consistent support, regular weekly check-ins, and adjustments to your plan as needed. We are with every client every step of the way to celebrate milestones and embrace the empowerment that comes with each step towards a healthier, stronger you.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Your pelvic muscles are a group of muscles that lie at the bottom of the pelvis. These muscles have many functions like maintaining continence, supporting our pelvic organs, providing sexual sensations and more. These muscles are extremely important to pay attention to with aging as they are often neglected and are not directly trained. The pelvic floor muscles also tend to contribute to a lot of issues in and around the pelvis so it’s important to understand where they are, what they do and how to best support them so we can avoid issues altogether down the road.

Because your core is arguably one of the most essential muscle groups. you core is made up more then just your abdominal muscles. Your “core” is the pelvic floor, diaphragm, spinal muscles, and abdominal muscles. Strengthening these muscle groups will reduce pelvic floor dysfunction like leakage, risk of prolapse, low back and SI joint pain and improve sexual functions.

We make the program with everything you have. However, it is strongly recommended to have some sort of resistance bands and dumbbells at home because we always want to be able to challenge the body in order to create adaptation. Our programming can be done at home or at the gym in conjunction with your other plans you may be doing

You will create a profile inside of the Female Athlete’s app and all of your customized rehab programming and weekly support will be inside the app. The workouts have step by step demonstration videos + Dr. Courtney’s cueing in order to get the most out of your program.

Anyone!
